On the morning of January 9, 2017, the Chinese ambassador to Iraq, Chen Weiqing, came to visit our company’s project department of Wasit power plant in iraq. Shanghai Electric’s related leaders and our company’s general manager Yin Liya accompanied the visit.
After listening to work report made by our project department of Wasit power plant, Ambassador Chen Weiqing fully affirmed the recent achievements made by Wasit power plant project department , and extended greetings to all the staff, ambassador Chen Weiqing said: " It is on the festival occasions when one misses his dear most, the annual Chinese traditional festival - the Spring Festival is coming. On this occasion when thousands of families enjoy the happiness of family reunion, the project department staff cross all the long distance from China to work in Iraq, to fight at the production line, making a positive contribution to the construction of Iraq, they are highly praised by the owners, setting an excellent example for Chinese enterprises, winning the honor for the Chinese people, further strenthening the friendly relations between China and Iraq!"
Our company undertook the operation and maintenance of 4 * 300MW+2 * 610MW unit of Iraq Wasit Power Plant from the date of January 1st 2017. General manager Yin Liya thanked ambassador Chen Weiqing for his high appraisal, and promised that we will live up to ambassador Chen Weiqing’s expectations, will continue to strive for more excellent results, and build Wasit Power Plant into a boutique project, establish a good image of the company, creating a beautiful name card and making a positive contribution to the development of the company.
