1.Explore new markets and make new impressions

On August 15, 2019 when Malaysia Kuching SPC #3 Unit just met the requirements of closing the casing in major overhaul, the expert group of Jiangsu Pangwo Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred as to JPPEC) would be sent to Vietnam for guiding Dong Trieu Power Plant #1 Unit major overhaul. After handover of SPC major overhaul, the experts were heading for Vietnam on August 16^th, and they arrived at overhaul site of Dong Trieu Power Plant on August 17^th.
Dong Trieu Power Plant #1 Unit major overhaul is JPPEC’s another new maintenance market after a stable maintenance market in Malaysia. Therefore, it is not only the technical guidance but also the communication during overhaul to win the trust from the owner so as to lay a solid foundation for a long-term cooperation.
During the 60-day overhaul, the experts of our company, combining the technical reality of Vietnam, have strict requirements on professional technology, thorough explanation, good knowledge and good control, and have ensured the success of start-up and grid-connection after the overhaul of #1 Unit.
In the process of overhaul, such a problem emerged: whether the sandblasting on the rotor at the beginning of overhaul would affect the imbalance of rotor, which bothered the power plant and the owner EPS. Because the imbalance of rotor would directly affect the overhaul quality and also cause the overhaul period to be extended. In order to show respect, our experts observed the whole process of rotor sandblasting and mastered some information. At the last coordination meeting of overhaul, when the power plant talked about this matter again, our experts put forward their suggestion that rotor sandblasting would not cause imbalance according to our experience as we have been tracking the whole process of rotor sandblasting on site. The fact let those who worried about "dynamic balance" relieved, and there was no "imbalance" phenomenon when start-up. At the same time, it also left a new impression on the power plant and the owner -- JPPEC’s expert have a high level of technology, deserve trust and dare to take on the responsibility. It is the decision made at this critical moment that will help  our company continue to cooperate with them as well as
leave a good impression. It really matters for our exploration of new markets, which comes from ours professional experts, hard work, resolution and trust.

2.Consolidate new markets step by step

This year, JPPE was honored to be invited to Dong Trieu Power Plant in Vietnam again, cooperating with LILAMA maintenance company in Vietnam, to participate in the overhaul and guidance of #2 Unit. In order to do well in this overhaul, JPPEC re-adjured its personnel structure and strengthened its organizational leadership according to the experience of #1 Unit overhaul.
Overhaul period this time is almost same as #1Unit, but the maintenance company has few professional technicians of turbine proper, causing our technical guidance not to be carried out. Though tired, we experts did the work and offered technical guidance for them. In particular, after the failure of the first sealing test of the generator, we put forward the suggestion of "exclusion method" to inspect leakage after the failure of first sealing test of generator but they refused and chose to extract four hydrogen coolers from the generator at the same time to re-check and then re-install them. As a result, our suggestion may be a better choice. It once again proved that our experts have decisive and correct judgment technically.
#2 Unit was successfully started up and connected to the grid for the first time after overhaul on October 26th. All the technical indicators have reached “Excellent”, which has been highly praised by the power plant. This praise is the best rewards to the hard work of all the members of our expert group day and night. The achievement of #2Unit is also the result of experience from #1 Unit overhaul, symbolizing our and stepping forward step by step!
