Bangladesh Sirajganj Power Plant,Phase1&Phase2 225MW combined gas and steam power generation unit
Sirajganj Power Plant is located in Saydabad state,Sirajganj province, the owner is the North-west Power Generation Company Limited, the plan is to build 4 sets of gas combined cycle unit. The construction contractor for phase1-3 is China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC). Phase1 1 x 225MW E-level gas steam combined cycle power generation unit was put into operation in May 2014, Phase2 1 x 225MW E-level gas steam combined cycle generation unit, was built by CMC and Fujian Institute consortium, Fujian Institute was responsible for survey and design. The design scope includes all the production and auxiliary facilities necessary for the normal operation of the combined cycle gas power plant. After the completion of the power plant construction, the power will be transmitted to the nearby transformer substation substation in 230kv, then delivered to power grid, which will greatly ease the power shortage of Bangladesh.
The 2 phase of the project started turbine single cycle commissioning in July 2017, on 2^nd August, 2017 the #2 unit achieved one-trial- success of synchronization. Jiangsu Pangwo Power Engineering Co.,Ltd undertakes the operation and maintenance work of the project.
