Iraq Wasit Oil(gas)-fired Power Station
Iraq Wasit Oil(gas)-fired Power Station, 120 km southeast from Iraq’s capital Baghdad, is located in province of Wasit, at the North side of the town of Baidiya, phase 1: 4units of 330MW, phase2: 2 sets of 610MW fuel / gas fired units, the total installed capacity is 2.54million kilowatts, with the total ECP contract amount of billions of dollars, the construction began in the second half of 2009, is one of the largest infrastructure project in Iraq after Iraqi war. The owner is the Iraqi Ministry of Electric Power, the EPC contractor is the Shanghai Electric, Hubei Electric Power Construction 1st Company is responsible for the civil engineering and the installation construction. Jiangsu Pangwo Power Engineering company undertakes operation and maintenance of the plant from January1st 2017.
